Forum on ‘Globalisation, Diversity and Economic Renewal’

Dublin City Council and GLEN are organising a breakfast forum on ‘Globalisation, Diversity and Economic Renewal’ which is to be held on Monday morning 12th September beginning at 8.30am. The forum will be opened by the Lord Mayor Councillor Andrew Montague.

Professor Sean Kay author of the recently published ‘Celtic Revival? The Rise, Fall and Renewal of Global Ireland’ will give a key note address. Professor Kay was an advisor on Europe for the election campaign for President Obama which included work on Ireland policy issues.

Panellists who have confirmed include Frances Ruane, Director of ESRI. Also Bernie Cullinan, CEO of Clarigen, and member of the Governments Innovation Fund Advisory Board.

Dublin City Council and GLEN are carrying out a project on the international competitiveness benefits of qualities of diversity and equality in the city. This project is funded by the Equality Authority under the EU Progress initiative. The forum is one of the actions of this project.
