Emerging Artist Andrzej Mazur exhibits extensively in Dublin and internationally. He holds a BA and MA in Fine Art from the University of Maria Curie Sklodowska in Lublin, Poland. He is a member of the Graphic Studio.
The human being and all the complexities of human relationships inform Andrzej’s work. The works presented in SHYNESS SILENCE are like puzzles. Andrzej’s says that a common feature of his works is mystery both for the viewers who try to decode meanings of the whole picture or any of it and for him. His work visually explores communication and conceptual relations between cognitive processes, languages and cultures. While drawing inspiration from the works of the masters, Albrecht Durer and Hendrick Goltzius, Andrzej has managed to create intriguing and stimulating images of curious virtual worlds.

Space available for hanging- At least one panel measuring 1metre x 2.25metres will be provided. Artists will be responsible for hanging their own work (or you can ask someone to hang on your behalf)

From 13th to 17th December 2008 we will have a chance to participate in 2nd Festival of Polish Art in Limerick. The opening night (13th of December) will be accompanied by a talented Polish violin player Marcin Diling.
The second event of this type organized by the Irish Polish Cultural & Business Association (IPCBA) is devoted to promote Polish arts in all its various aspects. A chairperson of IPCBA Justyna Cwojdzinska comments, ‘’Polish people, as you know, are the majority among the emigrants in Ireland and yet our national heritage is still very little known and acknowledged. The events like The Art Festival aim to broaden the knowledge and add a different value to the image of Poles in Ireland. That perfectly corresponds with the mission statement of the Irish Polish Cultural & Business Association in Limerick that has been contributing to the Irish and Polish integration for the past 10 years.’’ This year’s Festival will also be connected with the charity auction of the Polish art pieces, the proceedings from which will be donated to the The Ark Foundation. Justyna Cwojdzinska happily adds, ‘’ This year Polish people will have another chance to give something back to the Irish Society; local children in need in particular.’’
The interest in this year’s Festival has been very impressive and the number of artists willing to take part in it beyond the expectations. The exhibition is a sort of a collage of Polish arts where we will have an opportunity to see a variety of Polish paintings, graphics, sculpture and photography.
